Marble Estates


 is the the most prestigous West of Hawthorne Blvd. Housing Development
Marble Estates was built by developer Don Wilson in the 1964 and 1965 time period when oil pumping lots were prevalent in the area. Three hundred fifty homes are contained in this upscale
neighborhood. The original homes ranged from 3  to 4 bedroom homes with 1500 to 2600 square feet f living area. The homes were one two and and three level homes. Many of the original homes have been upgraded some with additioanl living area

Additional homes have been built since on vacant lots after the original development was completed.

Marble Estates is bounded by 230th place on the north, Crenshaw blvd on the east, 234th Streeet on the south, Iris and Greenwood avenue on the west. The nort west corner is adjacent to Hickory Park.
